After several months of rumors, Apple’s new phone was finally released in San Francisco yesterday. The well-known company organized an event to show the world the new features of their famous smartphone, which will be lighter, larger and faster than the previous ones.
“We’ve got some really cool stuff to show you.” This is the way Tim Cook started the conference of Apple’s new products at 12:00 in the morning. The most watched out for was the iPhone 5.
It is the sixth model of the smartphone range. As the Apple marketing guru Phil Schiller has widely explained, the iPhone 5 has some new features compared to its predecessor: it is 18% thinner, 20% lighter, larger, it has a 4 inch retina display, a 8 megapixel camera, it includes 3 microphones and an A6 processor chip (which is twice as fast as the A5).
It will be on sale on 21st September in USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. For other countries, the new iPhone 5 will be available between 28th September and December. The 16 GB version of the smartphone will cost $199 and rises until $399 for models with more storage capacity.
